Schutzhund Breeds
While adopting individual dogs from most bloodlines, Ausdauer strives to produce high-quality, high-drive working dogs. All of Ausdauer's schutzhund breeds are required to be titled prior to breeding. Our dogs are trained for Schutzhund and other protection sports in order to earn their working dog titles.
Other events we are interested in placing our schutzhund breeds in include: Agility, Tracking, Search and Rescue, Companion/Utility dog, Obedience, and Canine Good Citizen.
Primitive Sighthounds
Our sighthound breeds include the: Basenji, Cirneco dell'Etna, Ibizan Warren Hound, Pharaoh Hound, Portuguese Warren Hound, and the standard Peruvian Inca Orchid.
Long-eared Gundogs
Our gundog breeds include the : Ariegeois, Artois Hound, Basset Artiesien Normand, Basset Hound, Bernese Hound, Black and Tan Coonhound, Bloodhound, Blue Gascony Basset, Great Gascon Saintongeois, Italian Segugio, Jura Hound, Large Blue Gascony Hound, Lucerne, Schwyz, the small swiss breeds, all spaniels (excluding the Tibetan spaniel), Braco Italiano, Dupuy Pointer, English Setter, Gorden Setter, Irish Setter, Italian Spinone, and all Group 11 Coonhounds.
All Ausdauer dogs are entered to events at some point in their lives, and no untitled dog will ever be bred at our kennel. Because Ausdauer focuses on specific breed groups (popular schutzhund breeds, primitive sighthounds, and long-eared gundogs and scenthounds), we have a strict method when it comes to titling our dogs.
All non-specialty breeds are evented until they meet Ausdauer's breeding requirements for their breed, and then (except under special circumstances) they are retired from events. Meanwhile, our specialty breeds will continue to be titled throughout their lives, meeting superb standards and allowing Ausdauer to prove its amazing working lines.
For very specific guidelines on what breeds are specialty breeds, their basic breeding requirements, and so forth, please have a peek at the specialty breeds page.
Ausdauer promises to enter all adopted dogs into breed club shows where possible (ie. where an active member is running said breed club regularly). We promise that all dogs taken into Ausdauer will earn a minimum of one event title under us.
All dogs adopted into Ausdauer are done so with the intention of breeding, once our kennel's breeding requirements are met by that individual animal. Ausdauer strives to improve bloodlines by breeding only 0% inbred dogs, and introducing new blood (ie. imports and foundations) into popular breeds to decrease the need for inbreeding to produce puppies. No dog at Ausdauer will be bred more than three times, ensuring that an over-abundance of related progeny are not produced.
Ausdauer promises that dogs adopted into our kennel will only be bred to the finest quality mates, ensuring that our pedigrees will be filled with champions in both the show ring and the eventing arenas. You, as the breeder of our stud and/or dam are guaranteed a reserve in a litter with high quality, champion bloodlines.
Ausdauer will never rehome a dog to a third party. Should we find a dog no longer useful to our kennel, we will inform you (the breeder) and return said dog to their original kennel.
